Preparation Steps for Candidates

Southwest Education Alliance Teacher Career Fair

Monday June 16, 2008

1.  Submit online registration form to attend the Southwest Education Alliance Career Fair.

2.  Research the school systems participating in the Career Fair.

3.  Complete the NC Statewide Online Application for Educators by going to http://schooljobs.dpi.state.nc.us. NOTE:  Before the online application is submitted, print copies of the application to distribute at the Career Fair.

4.  Bring copies of your resume, Statewide Online Application for Educators and other materials to distribute to the personnel directors—a copier will not be available at the Career Fair. 

5.  What to bring  to the Southwest Education Alliance Career Fair:          

            Lateral Entry (one per school system in which you are applying)

                        a. Copies of transcripts

                        b. Copies of resume

                        c. Copies of online application

Licensed from another state (one per school system in which you are applying)                      

            a. Copies of teaching license         

                        b. Copies of resume

                        c. Copies of online application

                        d. Statement from present employer indicating that high quality requirements have been met

            Licensed in North Carolina (one per school system in which you are applying)                        

                        a. Copies of resume
